[2] Chloe And the Myrtles plantation -Chloe was a slave, but she was fiercely independent and keen to get her freedom. And to gain this, she started listening at doors and windows, in a bid to win the information she needed to break free but unfortunately one day she was found at the door, and the foreman mercilessly cut off her ear. In revenge, she baked a poisonous cake for the owner, but his wife and two young daughters ate it instead. She was hanged from a tree on the plantation. She died, but her soul is still not at rest. She [ghost] can be seen listening at the door. Some say that she frequently appears between two trees outside the home.
[3] The Bell Witch -In 1800, the Bell family moved into a house, and after a few weeks, they began experiencing very spooky activities in the house. It started with knocking and scratching on the walls and later on it began to grow more violent. The youngest daughter, Betsy was constantly slapped or pinched out of nowhere, strange bruises would appear, and other family members felt kicked and sometimes their hair being pulled. That may be the spirit of a slave to whom Bell had killed. If so, why did the spirit show so much hatred towards Betsy Bell and it remains a mystery.
